Rumors of Nomads

I had heard of Miguel's plan as a rumor first, and I need to credit my friend Jill for passing it along. And though I had threatened to start this blog a year ago, it was Jill's comment on Saturday night that sprung a leak in my procrastination. Thanks, Jill!

If you read the comment thread, it sounds like The Nomad is full steam ahead, with coffee, pastries, and breakfast tacos sooner rather than later. A big ol' Valentine for Windsor Park.

If anyone has other rumors of coffee shops, feel free to post them or pass them along.

This website gives me hope. Many times have I left my house to make it to a grueling early morning meeting sans coffee. If we had a café in the hood, I might be able to convince the boss to have our morning meeting at the café!

Hope. Yes, I'm all about the hope.

But dude, come on. You could have meetings with your boss over the back fence, barking dogs and all.

Point is to not have the meeting, but I'm not getting away with that! Anyway, I find that the coffee is always better when I buy coffee some one else made!

Is this also a place where we might let Miguel know about our preferences? How about cafe de olla, made with a tiny bit of cone sugar and mexican cinnamon sticks. Oh, and fair trade coffee is a must! I'll be there.

Fair trade coffee, very unlike Starbucks, will be the norm and for that matter, local, fair trade and organic as much as possible as well on everything we can. But back to the question, yes reasonable suggestions are accepted and considered. In other words I cant ban the Lepard just because he misses morning meetings with his boss. ; )

Boy howdy does it ever make you think differently of your friends to hear them called "the boss."

I think this is a fine place for presenting & discussing wants and preferences at Nomad or any place else. Please be neighborly, and the bring over extra tomatoes sort of neighborliness. I'll kick things off in a main post.
